Breton shirts used to be working shirts for french breton fishermen. Traditional striped fishing shirts were made out of thick heavy coarse cotton and were fitted not to allow fishing gear to catch.Guildo sailor shirt with its slash neck is a revival of the original breton shirt as made by Saint James since 1889.
